Between summer 2025 and summer 2026, Digidop lost two thirds of its Google clicks. Yet in September 2026, it is the Webflow agency AI recommends most in France: 31.4% visibility across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Mode answers.
Paris-based Webflow agency founded in 2020, with a French and English website. Vydera has handled its search visibility since 2025, first on Google, then in AI search.
2025: getting the site back in shape
After moving from digidop.fr to digidop.com, the site had lost part of its rankings. It also carried a lot of weak pages: 150 tool pages and 600 blog posts, some of them very thin.
In 2025, we cleaned house. 110 of the 150 tool pages were deleted and redirected, 100 posts removed, 50 rewritten, and more than 15 service pages rewritten around what Digidop's clients actually look for. On Google, the "webflow agency" page climbed from 20th in June 2025 to 6th in February 2026.
"We got our lost rankings back and doubled our organic traffic. A decisive partnership to restart Digidop's growth."
Florian Bodelot, co-founder of Digidop, in 2025 (translated from French)
2026: ranking higher, getting fewer clicks
In early 2026, clicks started to drop, and they haven't recovered since: 45,580 from July to September 2025, 15,085 over the same months in 2026.
Most of the loss comes from the blog, which drove 79% of clicks. Its most-read posts were AI model comparisons, such as "ChatGPT-4o vs Midjourney", which went from 2,550 clicks to 55 from one summer to the next. That kind of post goes stale within months, and none of them were pages where leads came in.
The most telling case is a service page. The "webflow agency" page has never ranked higher: 4th in September 2026. It gets as many impressions as before, around 4,000 a month. But it now gets only 8 clicks a month, down from 55 in February. On that search, Google shows an AI-written answer above the links. That's the most likely explanation: some prospects read the answer and never click.
Before the site cleanup: the page sits on page two of Google.
The page is back on page one, and clicks are up 8x.
The page has never ranked higher, yet clicks are down to 8 a month.
What matters now: who AI recommends
When a marketing lead asks ChatGPT "who is the best Webflow agency in France?", they don't get ten links. They get three to five names. We track 18 questions like this one every day, asked by French prospects, across four AI engines.
Share of AI answers that mention Digidop, by engine.
Average visibility of the Webflow agencies tracked, all engines combined. Digidop ranks first.
- #1 Webflow agency cited in France, at 31.4% visibility, ahead of the next two at 24.8% and 24.4%.
- 97.8% presence in answers to "best Webflow agency" and "agency for a Webflow Enterprise project".
- 71.7% presence on "which agency can improve our visibility in ChatGPT and Perplexity?", up 40 points in a month.
These numbers have limits, and we track them closely. Digidop often gets cited because it appears in "Top 10 Webflow agencies" lists published by other agencies. It is almost absent from answers in the US and the UK, under 2%. And as soon as a question doesn't include the word "Webflow", it largely drops out of the answers.

How we worked
The 2025 cleanup, reading the 2026 numbers, and tracking AI answers.
Cleaning up the site

The 2025 audit found third-party scripts slowing the site down, crawl budget wasted on low-value pages, pagination issues, incomplete structured data and 404 errors.
- Videos moved from Vimeo to Bunny, desktop and mobile animations reworked, images compressed.
- Core Web Vitals, structured data, 404 errors, title tags and meta descriptions fixed.
- Breadcrumbs added to key pages and internal linking reworked.
- Disavow file for the spammy links pointing to the site.

On content, every page was sorted: keep, rewrite, or delete and redirect. 150 tool pages reviewed, 40 kept and rewritten. 600 posts reviewed, 100 deleted and redirected, 50 rewritten.

Reading the 2026 drop
We went through 16 months of Search Console data, page by page. 20 pages account for 55% of the lost clicks, and almost all of them are AI news posts or tool pages. Service pages lose clicks too, in small volumes, while their rankings go up. That gap is what moved our goal from traffic to being recommended by AI.
Tracking AI answers
49 questions are tracked daily on ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode and Perplexity: 18 in France, 16 in the US, 15 in the UK. For each answer, we record which brands are cited, in what position, and which pages the engine used as sources.

That tracking shows where Digidop's visibility comes from. Its most-cited page is its "Webflow agency" service page. But on this topic, the pages AI cites most often are rankings published by other agencies.
What we're working on now
- Publishing proof AI can pick up: pricing, case studies with numbers, the method.
- Getting Digidop cited on third-party sources such as Sortlist, La Fabrique du Net and webflow.com.
- Deciding how much to invest in English-speaking markets, where Digidop barely shows up in AI answers.
Want to know whether AI recommends your company? Talk to an expert
Why are my Google clicks dropping while my rankings go up?
Google increasingly shows an AI-written answer above the links, and some searchers get what they need without clicking. At Digidop, the "webflow agency" page moved from 6.5th to 4th between February and September 2026, with steady impressions around 4,000 a month, while its clicks fell from 55 to 8.
How do I know whether AI recommends my company?
By tracking the questions your customers ask, every day, on ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Mode. For Digidop, we track 18 questions in France, 16 in the US and 15 in the UK. We measure the share of answers that mention the brand, its position, and the sources the engines rely on.
Should I try to win back lost blog traffic?
Not always. At Digidop, the posts that lost the most clicks were AI model comparisons that went stale within months, and none of them were pages where leads came in. We recommend putting the effort into service pages and into showing up in AI answers.
Why does AI cite one agency over another?
AI engines rely on sources they consider trustworthy: third-party rankings, directories, clear service pages. Digidop often gets cited because it appears in several "Top 10 Webflow agencies" lists published by other agencies. Its most-cited page is its "Webflow agency" service page.
Does traditional SEO still matter?
Yes. AI mostly cites pages that already rank well and are well structured. Between June 2025 and February 2026, after Digidop's site cleanup (110 tool pages deleted, 100 posts removed, more than 15 service pages rewritten), its "webflow agency" page climbed from 20th to 6th on Google.
